ASICS SportStyle continues to push the boundaries of footwear innovation with its latest project alongside renowned Japanese fashion label Doublet on the highly coveted Gel-Kayano 20 from 2013. For this collaboration, ASICS SportStyle and Doublet bring the aesthetic of a cardboard box to the Gel-Kayano 20 through the use of Tyvek, a durable material that resembles cardboard and changes appearance as it ages. Alongside the cardboard-inspired design, elements from an ASICS box take place throughout the upper, such as the size tag displaying the products' info followed by a signature ASICS logo on the tongue and a co-branded insole.
