The upper blends seamlessly with the standard mesopié frame, allowing pigskin and synthetic overlays to flow from heel to toe through the mesh underlay, giving it a streamlined, agile look. While the updated design marks one of the most dramatic changes from one model generation to the next that the 990 has ever seen, the biggest advancement comes on the inside. The addition of FuelCell cushioning to the midsole makes the evolution of the 990 as much to be felt as it is to be seen
